This step by step guide to completing your Ontario tax return assumes you will use the free online Ontario tax return Calculator (click the advanced button on the tax calculator above). Alternatively you can quickly estimate your tax return by simply entering your total income into the Ontario tax calculator and clicking calculate

  1. Gather together all the documents you will need to complete your tax return, these are normally the slips prepared by your employer, payer, or administrator. You should receive most of your slips and receipts by the end of February. T3, and T5013 slips do not have to be sent before the end of March.
